Cut out the text that needs to be redacted. Use scissors to cut out all the text you need to redact. Make sure you find every mention of the sensitive information in the paper document and cut it out. NOTE: You should then shred the paper clippings to ensure the cut-out information cannot be traced or found.
In the Relativity viewer, only Blackout enables manual markups on Excel files eliminating the need to image worksheets entirely. Blackout can even find and sanitize Excel charts, comments, and other objects.
To do this, navigate to Tools and select Redact Redact Text Images Find Text Redact. This makes it easy to identify and then black out that content throughout the document.
To use the redaction tool in Word, you first need to select the text or images that you want to redact. Then, go to the Review tab in the ribbon and click on the Redact button. This will open the Redaction pane on the right side of the window.
Method Open your PDF file in Kofax Power PDF Advanced* From the Security ribbon choose Mark Redaction. Drag to select a region you want to redact, then click Apply Redaction. Repeat for any additional regions. Save your PDF, using a different file name if you may need access to the unredacted file in future.
Open the PDF in Acrobat Pro, and then do one of the following: Choose Tools Redact. On the Edit menu, choose Redact Text Images. Select the text or image in a PDF, right-click, and select Redact.
Blacking Out Text Manually Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the ab highlighter icon in the Font section. Click the black box in the drop-down menu. Click the black line below the highlighter icon. Repeat this process of highlighting with black to cover text.
To redact a message: Click the contacts thread with the message you wish to redact. Click the message you want to redact. Click Yes, Redact to confirm your redaction.
