To do this, navigate to Tools and select Redact Redact Text Images Find Text Redact. This makes it easy to identify and then black out that content throughout the document.
PDFescape is a great free online tool that allows you to redact PDFs quickly and easily. Upload the document you need to redact, select the areas you want to remove, and then click save. Smallpdf is another excellent free online redaction tool thats simple to use and effective.
Check the security settings for the particular file by navigating to File Properties Security. If youre redacting a PDF authored by someone else, you can ask them to send a PDF file with the security settings disabled or ask them to redact the file.
Select the text you want to redact. You will know it has been selected when it is outlined with red. To redact in bulk, select Find Text Redact under the dropdown menu labeled Redact Text Images. Once youre finished, apply the changes and save the PDF.
You can easily view blacked-out text in your PDF by following these steps: Open the PDF in Acrobat. Go to the Document menu. Click Examine Document. docHub will then scan the PDF and give you a checklist of items that you are able to remove by clicking on them. Choose the Preview button to see the hidden text.
Sanitize your PDF documents Choose Tools Redact. Click Sanitize Document in the top toolbar. Choose to selectively remove hidden information or remove all by clicking OK. Choose Save As and save the file with a different name to avoid overwriting the original.
Open the PDF file you want to edit in Acrobat. Click on the Edit PDF tool on the right-hand side of the screen. Select a text block and make changes in the PDF or erase words using your keyboard. Erase entire text blocks by clicking Delete when the block is highlighted.
Open the PDF in Acrobat, and then do one of the following: Choose Tools Redact. On the Edit menu, choose Redact Text Images. Select the text or image in a PDF, right-click, and select Redact. Select the text or image in a PDF, and choose Redact in the floating context-menu.
