my name is Mike ball Iamp;#39;m the substation supervisor for the Lake Erie area uh weamp;#39;re building Black River substation to support the voltage needs for the new ark furnace at Republic Steel uh the ark furnace is a very energy intensive um undertaking and this will support that voltage need it will also support the voltage needs for the city of Lorraine the substation is here to train transform 138,000 volts to 69,000 volts uh makes it more usable for the area Iamp;#39;ve got Crews working weamp;#39;re pulling conductor into the uh New South Transformer weamp;#39;re also wiring the Moab switches in uh we have a Contractor on site uh Seamans is doing testing on the new South Transformer the north Transformer is being being brought into the station today we have a lot of work left to do uh the Transformers are a key component to our substation we are on target to meet our inservice date of May 1st
