alright so in this video Iamp;#39;m gonna talk about Google sheets syntax and Iamp;#39;m making this video because I often get comments that hey Iamp;#39;ve tried the comma like youamp;#39;re doing and Iamp;#39;m getting a syntax error and it just doesnamp;#39;t work or maybe I did a semicolon it didnamp;#39;t work right so I get questions like this and then sometimes people say hey the syntax has changed it used to be a comma and now itamp;#39;s a semicolon but it has not so whatamp;#39;s happening is that you may have different syntax depending on your location so let me show you what I mean by that if Iamp;#39;m trying to create a function in my case Iamp;#39;m in the US so I have English as the language set up so if I go here and do equal sum I open parentheses the way Iamp;#39;m gonna do this I could just to this range of cells and if I wanted to add a second range of cells I would do a comma here and go here and select another range so comma in my case is the separato

Similar to adding spaces in the CONCATENATE function, to add a comma, simply add , as the delimiter to your formula.
The easiest way to replace commas with dots in Google Sheets is by using the Find and replace function within the Edit tab.
Use Find and Replace to Remove Quotes Access this function through the Home tab or by pressing Ctrl+H. In the Find field, enter CHAR(34) to specify the double quote character. Leave the Replace field empty to remove the quotes. Confirm the action to cleanse the selected cells of quotation marks.
Use the Control + H shortcut to find and replace commas quickly. If you plan to use the find and replace option to remove commas from your Excel spreadsheet, you can use this keyboard shortcut to open the Find and Replace dialog box. This can save you time. Use the Control + 1 shortcut to format cells.
Using Find and Replace Select the dataset. Click the Home tab. In the Editing group, click on the Find Replace option. Click on Replace. This will open the Find and Replace dialog box. In the Find what: field, enter , (a comma) Leave the Replace with: field empty. Click on Replace All button.
Show or hide the thousands separator Select the cells that you want to format. On the Home tab, click the Dialog Box Launcher next to Number. On the Number tab, in the Category list, click Number. To display or hide the thousands separator, select or clear the Use 1000 Separator (,) check box.
Type =SUBSTITUTE(Cell1,,,) into the text box. Replace the Cell1 section of this formula with the name of the cell you want to remove commas from and press enter. Continue to use the SUBSTITUTE formula to remove commas from specific cells throughout your document.
