Sanitize your PDF documents Choose Tools Redact. Click Sanitize Document in the top toolbar. Choose to selectively remove hidden information or remove all by clicking OK. Choose Save As and save the file with a different name to avoid overwriting the original.
How to uncover blacked-out text in a PDF. Open the PDF in Acrobat. Go to the Document menu. Click Examine Document. docHub will then scan the PDF and give you a checklist of items that you are able to remove by clicking on them. Choose the Preview button to see the hidden text.
Print your digital document, use a black sharpie (or black paper pieces) to cross-out/cover/hide the sensitive information, re-scan the document, and then save it as a new, redacted version.
How to remove sensitive information from PDFs Open the Redact tool. Select a file for redaction. Mark content for redaction. Click Apply. Find and remove hidden information. Save your redacted file.
To do this, navigate to Tools and select Redact Redact Text Images Find Text Redact. This makes it easy to identify and then black out that content throughout the document. You can also specify general patterns, such as phone, Social Security, or credit card numbers.
Choose Tools Redact. On the Edit menu, choose Redact Text Images. Select the text or image in a PDF, right-click, and select Redact.
Then, go into Edit Mode and follow these steps to select text or images and redact them. Select Tools Redact. Use the crosshair to draw rectangles over the text or images you want to permanently remove from the PDF. Optional: If you dont want a black box, select your preferred redaction marks. Click Apply.
In the drawing window, click on the text tool, which allows you to create shapes. Select the shape tool to draw a black rectangle. Place this shape over the specific text that needs to be hidden. Once youve covered all the sensitive text, click Save Close to add the black boxes to your document.
