To protect your information, learn how to redact in Preview. Open your PDF in Preview. Click the Markup icon on the top right. Click the Redact button on the top left. Read the reminder in the dialog box, save a copy of your PDF, and click OK. Select your text to have it automatically redacted.
You can easily view blacked-out text in your PDF by following these steps: Open the PDF in Acrobat. Go to the Document menu.
