The shortcut to use F4 in Excel on Mac is Command + Y. This shortcut will repeat the last action applied to the selected cell or range of cells.
Press and hold one or more modifier keys (such as Caps Lock, Command, or Control), then press the last key of the shortcut. For example, to use the Command-V keyboard shortcut to paste copied text, press and hold the Command key at the same time as the V key, then release both keys.
Youve probably noticed that the number keys at the top of your Macs keyboard have extra symbols on them, including !, @, #, $, and %. To type any of those symbols, hold down Shift while pressing the number key with the symbol you want on it. For example, the combination ⇧ Shift + 2 will give you the @ symbol.
If you are using Mac, the F4 key is usually used for system features, like opening up the launchpad application or changing the brightness of the screen. If you want to use F4 to play and pause audio in MAXQDA for Mac, you can find an option to do so in System Preferences Keyboard.
How to capture a portion of the screen. Press and hold these three keys together: Shift, Command, and 4. to select the area of the screen to capture. To move the selection, press and hold Space bar while dragging.
The equivalent of Alt+F4 on a Mac is Command+Q. This will quit the currently-focused application and any open windows. Much of the time the app will be suspended, and depending on your settings the same windows and tabs may appear again next time (for example, a web browser).
Command-P: Print the current document. Command-S: Save the current document. Command-T: Open a new tab.
Press the F4 key to either open the Dashboard (earlier macOS versions) or Launchpad (later versions). If pressing F4 doesnt work, hold down the Fn key (usually located at the bottom left of the keyboard) and press F4.
