docx file is a Word document, while a . dotx file is a Word template. Both can be opened and edited in Microsoft Word, but a . dotx file opens as a new document to preserve the original template.
Click the File tab and then click Options (its near the bottom left corner of the window). In the left column, select the Save tab. At the bottom, under Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation, select the Embed fonts in the file check box.

Embedding Fonts in PowerPoint Go to File and select Options. In the Options dialog box, select Save. At the bottom of the options list in the right panel, place a check next to Embed fonts in the file. Choose either Embed only the characters used in the presentation or Embed all characters. Select OK.

Click View Slide Master. On the Slide Master tab, click the Fonts drop-down menu. Select the font you want to use for all the slides in the presentation. You dont have to choose from the pre-defined font pairs on the menu; choose Customize Fonts at the bottom of the menu to select your own fonts.
