- Weve all seen those photographers! Maybe as a guest at a wedding or as an assistant to our second shooter, weve all witnessed the frantic, frazzled photographer. They seem under prepared, rushed, stressed, a little out of breath. Maybe that photographer is you? But the key to being the opposite, to being more of that calm collected pro is what were are talking about in todays video, and thats how to go from being in reactive mode to being more proactive by putting together the perfect wedding photography timeline. Hey guys, todays video was inspired from a subscriber question who asked, What schedule is best? Can you please share your wedding day photography plan minute by minute? A role model would help lot so that I dont forget anything and my first wedding is as calm as possible. This is a great question, because whether youre shooting your first wedding or youre shooting your 100th wedding, having a strong timeline in place is going to be the best thing to set you up f

Wedding Party + The Newlyweds: 1.5 3 Hours: Timing can depend largely on the locations, travel and size of bridal party. Without travel and a small to average bridal party (3-4 on each side) plan for 1.5 hours of photography time. Add more time for each location (30 minutes or more for each location).
If you want the wholeeee nine when it comes to getting ready photos, dont give your photographer (and yourself) an hour, give two hours at a minimum at the brides location alone, and if you want time in between those things to sit, breath, eat and drink, the more time the better.
The wedding photography process can take anywhere from 4 weeks to 18 months, depending on how far in advance you book your photographer.
I suggest photographing family first (20-30 minutes), bridal party second (15-20 minutes), and your portraits third (30-45 minutes). Its always easier to push the clock a little bit if its just the three of us. Ill be sure to get you to the reception as soon as possible though!
Your wedding photos can only be unique if the REAL activities are captured. This is why we suggest 1,5 ~ 2 hrs (or even more) for this. Also, if you plan it too short, things might get delayed or important shots might be missed. Getting ready doesnt mean makeup and get dressed only.
The best time to take wedding photos is the 60 minutes before sunset. This is what is referred to in the photography world as the golden hour. When the sun is lower in the sky the light is less intense and has a lower color temperature resulting in images that have a warmer tone.
Advice Wedding Party Photos should be around 45 minutes to 1 hour. During this time, we get a variety of shots in a variety of poses. We start off with the basic, classic photos focused on great expressions and lighting. Then we move into a set of fun and creative shots.
ing to Anaiz, the first look generally takes place about two hours before the ceremony. This provides sufficient time for the couple to have a private moment together as well as take all their formal portraits together, with immediate family, and with the wedding party, Anaiz says.
