A quote isnt fully binding until an insurance company has checked some key info, including your credit score and official driving record. If you provide inaccurate info while getting a quote, it can change the final rate or lead to the offer being pulled.
Binding insurance is necessary so that you can provide proof of sufficient insurance coverage if required by a lender or other organization in lieu of your finalized policy. An insurance binder is a temporary policy that is typically issued before your formal policy.
A binder is a temporary insurance contract delivered by the insurer to the insured before a permanent insurance policy is issued. The purpose of a binder is to provide insurance coverage and stand in the place of the permanent policy until the permanent policy is finalized or approved or disapproved by the insurer.
Simply put, payment on a Bind date means that payment is taken in-order to issue the new policy or renewal. Payment is required at the check out to bind and issue the policy. On policies that are paid Annually, the full payment is taken on the Bind Date.
