The Golden Rules of Binding Always bind for less than 8 hours a day (the more breaks and time you can go without, the better!). Binding for long hours every day over time breaks down tissue and can cause breathing problems, back pain, and skin irritation. Always take your binder off before you sleep.
Even the best binders can cause bruises or sores if you wear them too much. Take your binder off at night, just like other daytime clothing. Take breaks during the week. Avoid binding 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
I wouldn't recommend it at all. bi-gray said: Since the acceleration of the roller coaster actually puts a lot of stress/pressure on your body, it probably isn't a good idea to add to that with a binder.
If you can, try to schedule breaks throughout the day where you can take off your binder and let your body rest. Try to set your binder aside for one or two days a week if you can. If you're new to binding, start with binding your chest a few hours a day at first to get used to it.
The tightness is a double-edged sword — sometimes you feel like you're being suffocated, but at other times a binder feels like a close hug. The longer I used binding, the more I could feel my body deteriorating. The physical pain got worse but so did the emotional.
Sports bras are also recommended attire for amusement parks because they are comfortable and they are built for being active. Since you will be walking around and most likely sweating, you want something specially crafted for this kind of activity.
That said, even a dedicated binder is not without risk, and binding improperly or for too long can lead to chest and back pain, rib bruising and fractures, shortness of breath, overheating, and skin damage.
