Pages for Mac Open your document in Pages. Choose File Export To, then choose EPUB. Enter a title and an author name, then select any additional options for your book. Click Next. Share or save the exported file: Click Export. To open your book in the Books app on your Mac, double-click the EPUB file.
Note: If you have drawn multiple text boxes, you can link them together so that text will flow from one box to another. You can only link an empty text box to the one that youve selected. To do this, select the text box that you want to link to another text box, and then go to Shape Format Create Link.
Using InDesign, you can start from scratch or convert existing materials to the following: Fixed-layout EPUB: EPUB is an e-book format. A fixed-layout EPUB stays true to its original design, preserving live text, complex layouts, rich media, and interactivity.
To export to the .EPUB format: With the document open, choose File, then Export. Open a book and in the Book panel menu, select Export Book to EPUB. Specify your filename and location. In the Save as Type list, select EPUB (Fixed Layout) or EPUB Reflowable, then choose Save.
Open the document and select File Export. Specify a location and File name. Select EPUB (Fixed Layout) or EPUB (Reflowable) in Save as type (Windows) or Format (macOS). Select Use InDesign Document Name as the Output Filename if you want the same file name, and select Save.
The book is an InDesign feature where you assemble a number of InDesign documents, its usually used for very long documents. If youre writing a book the best workflow is to write it in (say) Word and finalise your MS there and then bring it into InDesign.
