Hey, good morning everyone! Welcome to Sew Together Tuesday. Iamp;#39;m Teresa Coates. I am the national educator for Shannon fabrics. Iamp;#39;m really excited that youamp;#39;ve joined us again today. Todayamp;#39;s project weamp;#39;re gonna be working on a self-binding blanket. So you may have made a self-binding blanket before. There are lots of tutorials out there. Most of the other tutorials work with a flannel or cotton fabrics. And today weamp;#39;re gonna do it with our Cuddle minky fabric, which is super exciting. We have it--weamp;#39;re going to combine it actually with the Embrace and with the Cuddle. So weamp;#39;re working with the two. Weamp;#39;re going to be going over some of the things that we did before. But if you havenamp;#39;t watched our previous videos, last week we talked about the Embrace double gauze. And then a couple of weeks ago, we did a bunch of tips on working with the Cuddle minky. So if you havenamp;#39;t seen those, I definitely recomme

Commonly, the socket API is used for inter-process communication at the transport layer (OSI layer 4). However, some special socket types can be employed to access the network layer (OSI layer 3) and the data link layer (OSI layer 2). These socket types are called raw sockets. What Are Raw Sockets? | Baeldung on Computer Science Baeldung raw-sockets Baeldung raw-sockets
The bind() assigns a local protocol address to a socket. With the Internet protocols, the address is the combination of an IPv4 or IPv6 address (32-bit or 128-bit) address along with a 16 bit TCP port number. int bind(int sockfd, const struct sockaddr *servaddr, socklent addrlen);
Because there is an internal bind() as part of connect(), if the socket isnt already bound, and because the server doesnt care what the clients port number is: it doesnt need to be fixed like the servers port number. In socket programming, why a client is not bind to an address? Stack Overflow questions in-socket-progra Stack Overflow questions in-socket-progra
The bind() function attaches a socket to a local address or port. We can use listen() to indicate the server socket is ready to receive a connection from the client socket. Now in order to know the connection status, we use accept(), which provides the confirmation.
You can bind to a specific interface by setting SOBINDTODEVICE socket option. struct ifreq ifr; memset(ifr, 0, sizeof(ifr)); snprintf(ifr. ifrname, sizeof(ifr. ifrname), eth0); if (setsockopt(s, SOLSOCKET, SOBINDTODEVICE, (void *)ifr, sizeof(ifr)) 0) {
A socket must first be opened using socket() , and then bound to a local address using bind() . Next, the number of incoming connections must be indicated with listen(), after which, we can finally =accept() an incoming connection generating a new socket for that connection.
A raw socket can be bound to a specific local address using the bind(2) call. If it isnt bound, all packets with the specified IP protocol are received. In addition, a raw socket can be bound to a specific network device using SOBINDTODEVICE; see socket(7). An IPPROTORAW socket is send only. raw(7) - Linux manual page - Michael Kerrisk Michael Kerrisk linux man-pages man7 raw.7.html Michael Kerrisk linux man-pages man7 raw.7.html
