Blind spots are all around vehicles, but their size and location vary ing to the type of vehicle. The main blind spots are located in front, at the rear, on the sides and behind the windshield pillars of the vehicle.
A blind spot is an area in your range of vision that you cannot see properly but which you really should be able to see. For example, when you are driving a car, the area just behind your shoulders is often a blind spot.
/ˈblaɪnd ˌspɒt/ an area that you are not able to see, especially the part of a road you cannot see when you are driving, behind and slightly to one side of the car: It can be very dangerous if theres a vehicle in your blind spot.
These are: Going it alone (being afraid to ask for help) Being insensitive of your behavior on others (being unaware of how you show up) Having an I know attitude (valuing being right above everything else)
Blind spots are the areas to the sides of your car that cant be seen in your rear mirror or side mirrors- to make sure these spots are clear before changing lanes, youll have to physically turn around and look to see what kind of crazy stuff is going on out there.
A blind spot is the area of the road that cant be seen by looking forward through your windscreen, or by using your rear-view and side-view mirrors. Blind spots can be large enough in size to easily block another car, motorbike, cyclist or pedestrian from your view.
Manually checking a blind spot usually requires the driver to turn their head and look over their shoulder, which can pose a risk to hazards that may appear within the drivers normal field of vision while they are performing the check.
Checking your blind spots involves looking in the mirror and then over your shoulder. Its that easy. Also, check the view out the window, and ensure there are no obstructions on the road.
In general, you may be in someone elses blind spot if you are in the lane next to them and the front of your car is even with their bumper or about to the middle of their car. You should only be in this zone for a few moments as you pass someone or as they pass you to minimize the danger.
A truck driver must turn their body to check blind spots, since their mirrors do not cover these areas. Failing to check blind spots can cause serious collisions. For example, a truck changing lanes may sideswipe a car if the trucker fails to check the blind spot in the lane into which they are merging.
