i'm going to show you how to literally see your blind spot so i want you to close your right eye and then with your left eye stare at this plus symbol as you bring the screen slowly closer or further away from your face until this black minus symbol disappears now the moment that happens means you've found your blind spot and that's because there is actually a hole in the back of your eye that the optic nerve has to go through in order to reach your brain and so there's no information being received there and as a result your brain makes up what it thinks is in that spot

What causes a blind spot? Everyone has a normal blind spot that's about as big as a pinhead. In this spot, the optic nerve passes through the retina, where there are no photoreceptors there to detect light. No light-detecting cells means the eye can't send signals to the brain.
Blind Spot Bias Defined Blind Spot Bias is the tendency to see oneself as less biased than other people, or to be able to identify more cognitive biases in others than in oneself.
Everyone has a spot in their retina where the optic nerve connects. In this area there are no light-sensitive cells so this part of your retina can't see. We call this the blind spot. Most of the time you don't notice your blind spot because the spot in one eye doesn't match the spot in the other eye.
The spot where your optic nerve connects to your retina has no light-sensitive cells, so you can't see anything there. That's your blind spot.

One example of a blind spot in psychology is when someone is asked to assess a social conflict. Most people tend to assume that their response is objective and that the opinions of others, if different from their own, are biased.
Definition: A psychological blind spot is a persistent lack of awareness concerning an aspect of one's personality and/or behavior. Recognizing and dealing with a blind spot often involves psychological discomfort and pain. The intelligent leader is an able translator of intention to impact.
The blind spot of the eye is the optic disc.It is the part oft he retina where the optic nerve exits the eye, and it "blind" because it is a region of the retina that lacks photoreceptors.
The blind spot in humans is located about 12–15° temporally and 1.5° below the horizontal and is roughly 7.5° high and 5.5° wide.
For example, someone purchases an extra box of cereal at the supermarket. Their blind spot bias might trick them into thinking that they love that particular brand of cereal, and therefore need more than one box.
