The least expensive punch-and-bind document binding is going to be plastic comb binding. Also called GBC combs, these plastic binder spines are incredibly affordable as consumables, and very easy to bind with. With plastic comb binding, your continued cost to bind stays low.
Use a thermal binding machine. Of all the available binding methods, thermal binding is the easiest of them all.
Here are several ways you can bind thick documents: Plastic comb binding. Plastic comb binding is perfect for long documents. Color coil binding. Wire binding. Thermal binding. Unibind. GBC Velobind and SureBind. Screw posts.
Comb binding uses a round plastic comb to connect multiple pages. The pages have holes drilled to accommodate the comb. Comb binding is an excellent choice for calendars, notebooks, cookbooks, or projects that use laminated pages.
To bind your book with tape, first staple the pages along the crease, and then reinforce the staples with a strip of linen tape or cotton tape. For a thick book, use several layers of tape. If you want to bind with ribbon, punch holes every 14 inch (0.64 cm) along the edge of the pages.
Traditional methods for binding pages without a machine include three-ring binders (Or any ring binders, for that matter). Simply pair with your preferred 3-hole punch for the ideal method of binding loose-leaf sheets.
