Merge shapes Press and hold Shift to select multiple shapes. The Shape Format tab appears. Note that it only appears when a shape is selected. On the Shape Format tab, click Merge Shapes, and then pick the option you want.
On the MAILINGS tab, click Start Mail Merge and Step-by-Step Mail Merge Wizard. Select the type of document you want to add mail merge to, and click Next. Here you can start a new document from a template or existing document.
Press and hold CTRL while you click the shapes, pictures, or other objects to group. You will need to select more than one shape, picture or object in order to enable the Group button.
Insert a picture into a shape Click the shape for which you want to add a picture. On the Format tab, in the Shape Styles group, click the arrow next to Shape Fill. In the folder or location that the contains the picture you want to use, click the picture file, and then click Insert.
Add text to an AutoShape On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click Shapes, and then click the shape that you want. Drag to create the shape. The shape is automatically selected. On the Drawing Tools tab, in the Insert Shapes group, click Edit Text. Type the text that you want.
Make sure to select all the shapes you want to merge before using the Merge Shapes or Combine Shapes feature. Check that the shapes youre trying to merge can actually be merged using the Merge Shapes feature. Some shapes might not work together.
Select Home Connector. Point to the center of a shape until you see a green outline around it. Draw a line to the center of the shape you want to connect to. Youll see a green outline around the shape when the shapes are connected. Select Home Pointer Tool to return to normal editing.
