Link to a page or shape in a Visio drawing Select the shape that you want to link. On the Insert tab, in the Links group, select Hyperlink. Next to Address, click Browse, and select the drawing you want to link to. Note: If you want to link to a page in the same drawing, leave the Address section blank.
Press and hold CTRL while you click the shapes, pictures, or other objects to group. You will need to select more than one shape, picture or object in order to enable the Group button.
Connect shapes by using AutoConnect Point at a triangle in the direction where you want to add a new shape. On the mini-toolbar that appears, select the shape you want to insert. The new shape is added to the diagram and automatically connected to the original shape.
Group shapes Drag a selection around all the shapes that you want to group or ungroup, or hold down CTRL and click all the shapes that you want to group or ungroup. Right-click a selected shape, point to Group, and then click Group. You can also press CTRL+SHIFT+G.
Select the shapes you want to combine. Select the Shape Builder tool in the Toolbar. The Shape Builder tool lets you combine or remove shapes you select. Drag across shapes to combine them.
Merge shapes Select the shapes you want to merge: press and hold the Ctrl key while you select each shape in turn. On the Shape Format tab, in the Insert Shapes group, select Merge Shapes to see a menu of merge options. Select the Merge option you want.
Click and drag to select all of the shapes. Go to the Shape Design tab, choose Operations, and then select Union. The shapes will now be united into one single shape.
First, use the selection tool to select all the path you need to merge. Then select the Shape Builder tool from the tool bird or press the shortcut Shift + M. With the Shape Builder tool selected, hover on the area you wish to merge and click and drag the pointer along the region, then release the mouse when done.
