To turn on Track Changes: From the Review tab, click the Track Changes command, then select Highlight Changes from the drop-down menu. The Highlight Changes dialog box will appear. Check the box next to Track changes while editing. Verify that the box is checked for Highlight changes on screen, then click OK.
Right-click anywhere on the Quick Access Toolbar and select Customize Quick Access Toolbar. Select All Commands from the drop-down menu. Press Ctrl+D on Windows or Command+D on Mac. Click the Strikethrough option under Effects in the middle of the window. Press OK.

Method 2: Keyboard Shortcut The quickest solution to cross out text is to use the Excel strikethrough shortcut. Select the cell or text. Press Ctrl + 5 (Command + Shift + X on Mac).
