Early binding is also known as static binding.
Answer the question without looking at the options Coming up with the answer yourself will help you identify what the correct option should say. Compare your answer to the options. Look for the same ideas and key terms.
Explanation: Binding of calls and variables with actual code at compile-time is called static binding. For example normally whenever we declare a variable we define its type hence compiler knows what type should be binded to that variable i.e. compiler can decide about that variable this is called static binding.
Polymorphism allows an object to take multiple forms when a method exhibits polymorphism, the compiler has to map the name of the method to the final implementation. If its mapped at compile time, its a static or early binding. If its resolved at runtime, its known as dynamic or late binding.
In static binding, function calls are resolved at compile time by the compiler itself. The binding of all the static and private functions/methods of a class happens at compile time. In dynamic binding, function calls are resolved at run time. Function overriding in OOP is possible due to dynamic/late binding.
So, the fundamental difference between static and dynamic binding in Java is that the former occurs early, at compile time, based on the type of the reference variable, and the latter occurs later, at runtime, using concrete objects.
Address Binding: Address binding is the process of mapping of one address space to another address space. CPU generated the logical address space during the execution whereas physical address space refers to a location in the physical memory unit.
Static binding, also known as early binding or compile-time binding, is when the compiler decides which method to execute based on the type of the variable that holds the object.
