Resolution: The resolution of the QR code you print can affect how scannable it is. If you need to print a smaller QR code, youll want to make sure you print it at a high resolution. If youre unable to print at a high resolution, increase the size by . 2 per every five columns and rows.
The only requirement is that the minimum size of a QR Code is of 2 x 2 cm (0.8 x 0.8 in), otherwise, a QR Code scanner could have trouble scanning it and reading the alphanumeric data. QR Codes that users often scan at short distances include: Display signs or table tents for mobile payments.
Hover over the QR code. The following icon displays in the lower-right corner of the QR code: Click on the icon and drag your mouse either up and to the left (to reduce the size of the QR code) or down and to the right (to increase the size of the QR code).
4) The QR Code is too small or too big If your print material is larger, you need to scale the QR Code with the size of the design. When in doubt, opt for a bigger QR Code size and perform test prints. This way, you can ensure the best fit for your use case and can always scale down if needed.
The greater the amount of data encoded, the bigger the QR code size will be. A QR code is capable of encoding a maximum of 2953 bytes of data, 4296 alphanumeric characters, 7089 numeric characters, or 1817 Kanji characters (character set ing to JIS X 0208).
What Size Should QR Codes Be On a Business Card? The ideal QR code size for business cards is roughly 0.8 x 0.8. This assumes a standard-sized business card of 9 x 5 cm or 3.5 x 2. You can always make it bigger, but it is not recommended to go smaller as it would render your Code unscannable or even unnoticeable.
A high resolution QR Code can be resized without losing quality by choosing the SVG or EPS format.
QR Codes should be printed in the appropriate size ing to your print medium and ideal scanning distance. We recommend a minimum size of 2 x 2 cm (0.8 x 0.8 in) for Dynamic Codes and 3 x 3 cm (1.2 x 1.2 in) for Static Codes.
