Select Layout Margins Custom Margins. Set your margins.
Open a new or existing document and find the Ruler at the top. Click the left or right indent arrow and drag it to adjust the margin size. To preset the margin size: Select File Page setup Margins and set the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right margin sizes.
Set the default margin Click PAGE LAYOUT Margins. At the bottom, click Custom Margins. In the Page Setup box, enter new values for the margins. Click the Set As Default button.
Right-click the paragraph that you want to keep together. In the box that opens, select Paragraph. In the Paragraph dialog box, click the Line and Page Breaks tab. In the Pagination section, select the Keep lines together check box, and click OK.
Select Layout Margins Custom Margins. Set your margins. Select Set As Default. Confirm your selection.
Restrict Format Editing in Word You can limit the ways in which your Word document can be edited. In Word, go to File Info Protect Document and select Restrict Editing. On the right side of your document, a Restrict Editing pane appears for formatting and editing restrictions.
The binding edge is the Inside, and the free edge is the Outside. Often you will want the Inside margin to be larger, to allow for binding. This larger margin will alternate from left (Inside on a Recto page) to right (Inside on a Verso page).
Tip: to use a password to keep others from turning off Track Changes - Go to Review Track Changes Lock Tracking.
