Add page numbers to a header or footer Go to Insert Page Numbers. Select a position (left, center, or right, and header or footer). Select Include Page Count to show total number of pages too, such as page 7 of 9.
Insert Page X of Y Go to Insert Page Number. Do one of the following: Select Current Position if you have a header or footer. Scroll until you see Page X of Y and select a format. Select Close Header and Footer, or double-click anywhere outside the header or footer area.
To choose a format or to control the starting number, go to Header Footer Page Number Format Page Numbers. To change the numbering style, select a different style in Number format. To change the starting page number of the newly created section, select Start at, and then enter a number. Select OK.
Put your cursor at the end of the text you want to cite. Go to References Insert Citation, and choose the source you are citing. To add details, like page numbers if youre citing a book, select Citation Options, and then Edit Citation.
Go to Header Footer Page Number, and then click Page Number. Choose the position and alignment of page numbers. If you dont want a page number to appear on the first page, clear Show number on first page.
Insert page numbers On the Insert tab, select. If you dont want a page number to appear on the first page, select Different First Page. If you want numbering to start with 1 on the second page, go to Page Number Format Page Numbers, and set Start at to 0. When youre done, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
Add a link Tap an object, text box, or selected text you want to turn into a link, then tap Link. In the link editor, tap Link To and choose a link type (Webpage, Email, Phone Number, or Sheet). Specify details for the destination: Webpage: Opens a webpage in a browser.
Right-click and then select Link. Under Link to, click Place in This Document. In the list, select the heading or bookmark that you want to link to. Note: To customize the Screen Tip that appears when you rest the pointer over the hyperlink, click ScreenTip, and then type the text that you want.
