in the last video we looked at adding a bibliography to our thesis using bib latex in this video weamp;#39;re going to look at customizing some of the opening pages in the first video we made a rather makeshift title page using the make title command and by using an include graphics command in the title command although this works it doesnamp;#39;t give us as much flexibility as we may want a much better way to do this is to use the title page environment weamp;#39;ll do this in a separate text file and then input it the first thing weamp;#39;ll do is enclose everything in the title page in the center environment so itamp;#39;s all aligned to the center next we need to instruct latex to leave a gap between the top of the page and the first line of the text to do this we use the v space command followed by a length we also need to add an asterisk into the command to make sure latex doesnamp;#39;t decide to ignore the command next weamp;#39;ll add a thesis title in bold font using

Binding a book means that the pages are arranged, joined together and given a cover, depending on the type of binding. Until the 19th century, the binding of books was manual work, today it is a machine process in the Production of a book.
One simple way is to use a hole punch to make evenly spaced holes along one edge of the sheets, then thread them together with a needle and string or use binder rings. Alternatively, you can take them to a print shop for professional binding, such as spiral binding or comb binding.
Here are a few ways you can do so: Use a comb binding machine. Comb binding is popular for a reason it is inexpensive and easy. Use screw posts. If you dont want to get a binding machine, screw posts are a great second option. Use a thermal binding machine. Use three-ring binders.
Step 1: Stack Your Paper Neatly in (at Least 4) Piles of 8 Sheets. Step 2: Fold Each Stack in Half. Step 3: Unfold the Paper and Turn Over. Step 4: Staple the Pages Together. Step 5: Glue the Binding Onto the Folios. Step 6: Trim the Bound Folios. Step 7: Mark and Cut Out the Cover Boards. Step 8: Make the Book Spine.
Open the book and squeeze some glue onto the inside of the books spine, where the pages have pulled away. Using a popsicle stick, spread the glue so that it covers the spine evenly. Set the pages back on the spine. Make sure you have them in the right order first!
To bind your book with tape, first staple the pages along the crease, and then reinforce the staples with a strip of linen tape or cotton tape. For a thick book, use several layers of tape. If you want to bind with ribbon, punch holes every 14 inch (0.64 cm) along the edge of the pages.
The minimum number of pages is 28 pages to 2 thick maximum. 2 page increments are required when ordering. Since perfect bound books are glued at the spine, it makes it harder to see or read content near the binding side (see the image below).
