Here are a few ways you can do so: Use a comb binding machine. Comb binding is popular for a reason it is inexpensive and easy. Use screw posts. If you dont want to get a binding machine, screw posts are a great second option. Use a thermal binding machine. Use three-ring binders.
Open the book and squeeze some glue onto the inside of the books spine, where the pages have pulled away. Using a popsicle stick, spread the glue so that it covers the spine evenly. Set the pages back on the spine. Make sure you have them in the right order first!
Step 1: Stack Your Paper Neatly in (at Least 4) Piles of 8 Sheets. Step 2: Fold Each Stack in Half. Step 3: Unfold the Paper and Turn Over. Step 4: Staple the Pages Together. Step 5: Glue the Binding Onto the Folios. Step 6: Trim the Bound Folios. Step 7: Mark and Cut Out the Cover Boards. Step 8: Make the Book Spine.
You can glue the pages of a book together with the cover in one step. Lay the book flat and open the cover to expose the spine of the book and the inside of the cover. Apply glue to the back of the text block and any area of the cover that had glue before. Allow it a few minutes to soak in and get a bit tacky.
To bind your book with tape, first staple the pages along the crease, and then reinforce the staples with a strip of linen tape or cotton tape. For a thick book, use several layers of tape. If you want to bind with ribbon, punch holes every 14 inch (0.64 cm) along the edge of the pages.
Woodworkers call it wood or carpenters glue. In bookbinding, we use a non-acidic (archival quality) version that is sometimes called bookbinders glue. PVA is strong, non-toxic, water soluble, dries clear and remains flexible. This makes it perfect for book making where flexibility and longevity are key.
