in this video we will learn about sections in data we will be using oxygen XML editor version 17 on a PC and author view with full tag display inside the con body element we will add the section element and inside the section we can have the title element we can have the P element we can have all the same elements that are allowed inside the con body element except that we cant have a section inside of a section so lets populate our section with content and then switch over to text view to look at the code the section element has one other constraint which is that after our section we can only have another section an example or a con body div so for example if we try to add a p element after our section element the editor underlines in red to show that it is invalid

FAQ on Technical Writing DITA stands for The Darwin Information Typing Architecture. Its an XML data model for authoring, producing, and delivering technical information. This data model consists of a set of design principles that help to create and manage content separately from formatting.
The Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) specification defines a set of document types for authoring and organizing topic-oriented information, as well as a set of mechanisms for combining, extending, and constraining document types.
DITA is not just a standard but a methodologysome might even call it a philosophy. Unlike a Word document, which produces a static piece of content, each piece of DITA content represents a unique XML file. By standardizing and leveraging content, DITA allows for content reuse across multiple publications.
The purpose of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee (TC) is to define and maintain the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) and to promote the use of the architecture for creating standard information types and domain-specific markup vocabularies.
The DITA identity attribute provides a mechanism for identifying content for linking. The id attribute assigns an identifier to DITA elements so the elements can be referenced. The id attribute is available for most elements. The id attribute is required on some elements.
DITA is an XML-based open standard for structuring, developing, managing, and publishing content. IBM originally developed DITA to more efficiently reuse content in product documentation.
The id attribute is a unique identifier that is used to specify the document. It is used by CSS and JavaScript to perform a certain task for a unique element. In CSS, the id attribute is used using the # symbol followed by id.
HTML is lenient about the order in which different tags appear in a file, but DITA is very particular about the tags that should come first and the order of the tags that should follow. The outermost, root tag in an HTML file is html, while the root tags in a DITA file depend on the type of topic you are creating.
The element provides a top-level container for multiple topics when you create documents using the ditabase document type. The element lets you create any sequence of concept, task, and reference topics, and the ditabase document type lets you further nest these topic types inside each other.
