Use the ip access-group command to apply it to an interface. I applied it inbound with the in keyword. You can verify that the access-list has been applied with the show ip interface command.
Definition and Usage. The acl statement creates a named address match list. It gets its name from a primary use of address match lists: Access Control Lists (ACLs). Note that an address match lists name must be defined with acl before it can be used elsewhere; no forward references are allowed.
Applies an ACL to the interface VLAN (or range of interface VLANs) identified by the current interface VLAN context. Using the apply access-list command on an interface VLAN interface with an already-applied ACL of the same direction and type will replace the currently-applied ACL.
ACL number for the standard ACLs has to be between 199 and 13001999. Once the access list is created, it needs to be applied to an interface. You do that by using the ip access-group ACLNUMBER in|out interface subcommand. in and out keywords specify in which direction you are activating the ACL.
How Can I Apply an ACL to an Interface? Run the traffic classifier classifier-name [ operator { and | or } ] [ precedence precedence-value ] command in the system view to enter the traffic classifier view. Run the if-match acl { acl-number | acl-name } command to apply an ACL to the traffic classifier.
The ip access-group acl-number [in | out]command is used to apply an ACL to an interface; in this case, the correct statement would be ip access-group 10 out.
