XML data binding is the process of representing information in an XML document as an object in computer memory (deserialization).
Characters are denoted using the notation used in the Unicode Standard, that is, an optional U+ followed by their hexadecimal number, using at least 4 digits, such as U+1234 or U+10FFFD. In XML or HTML this could be expressed as #x1234; or #x10FFFD;.
There are 3 ways to insert in an XML document characters other than letters, digits and common punctuation signs: Directly type the special character (if this is possible) or copy it from a third-party application (such as Windows Character Map utility), then paste it in the XML document.

XML documents must contain one root element that is the parent of all other elements: ..
How can we use it? Go to String.xml file (app-res-values-strings.xml) Now define a String in string. xml. Hey How are you Markup. Now Go to layout XML file and added this code . Here we call this string by using @string/greeting.
Just a small hint have you ever been wondering, how to put newline characters into XML document? typical string with escape sequence like \n cant be used, because this string has no special meaning in XML. Instead of you need to use hexadecimal escaped character: #10; for newline or #13; for carriage return.
