If an inmate asks you to put money on his book so he can make commissary purchases there are several ways you can do it; You can MAIL in a money order or cash. We highly recommend that you dont send cash through the mail.
Money orders are not accepted. All money sent to an inmate can be safely and securely added through web deposits. Use your credit card or debit card from anywhere. If you would like to use cash or debit/credit card, you can use the Tiger kiosk in the lobby or .
Deposits may be made through JPay over the phone by calling 1-800-574-5729. Cash may be sent through MoneyGram locations, including CVS and Walmart, using the receive code 6365 in addition to the inmates seven-digit ODOC number.
The department of corrections provides access to its free online database. Most counties in the state of Oklahoma also maintain an online Inmate search that is free to use. However, obtaining physical copies or paper formats of inmate information may attract some charges.
1) Go to AccessCorrections.com and create an account where money can be deposited for the inmate online. 2) If you have any questions, contact (866) 345-1884. Someone is available 24/7. 3) In the Detention Center Visitation Lobby, youll find a kiosk that accepts cash, debit and credit cards.
There are some restrictions around size and types of material that prisons will accept. Some prisons wont accept anything that is spiral-bound. Some will not allow hardback books, only paperback. Some places will allow both hardback and paperback, but only if they are within a certain size.
Can I send books to an incarcerated person? CCR Title 15 Section 3134.1 covers the mailing in of books. Books must be soft covered and sent from a departmentally approved book distributor, book store or publisher.
Kiosks are situated in the DLM front lobby. The kiosks can be used to add money to an inmates account using cash, credit card or debit card. (Courtesy fees apply.)
