In summary, the answer is no, you cant keep text highlighting. The problem is that the highlighting we see is something that Notepad++ shows while we are editing a file. The highlighting is not part of the file itself but rather is extra decoration that is available within Notepad++.
Highlight multiple parts of a document Go to Home and select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color. Select the color that you want. Select the text or graphic that you want to highlight. To stop highlighting, select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color and select Stop Highlighting, or press Esc.
An even faster way to highlight lots of notes is to use the CTRL+ALT+H keyboard shortcut after making your selection. This shortcut applies the current color from the Text Highlight Color button. To select a word quickly, double-click it. To select an entire paragraph, triple-click any word in the paragraph.
