To change the font family in a LaTeX document, we can use the \usepackage command. In addition, we should know that there are several other font packages available for LaTeX we can use, such as Arial, Helvetica, and Palatino.
Add a font Download the font files. If the font files are zipped, unzip them by right-clicking the .zip folder and then clicking Extract. Right-click the fonts you want, and click . If youre prompted to allow the program to make changes to your computer, and if you trust the source of the font, click Yes.
For custom fonts, you must the font files in a way where they can be found by Texifier when it is attempting to typeset your document. Font files ( . ttf files) may be placed in the same directory as your LaTeX source files or installed somewhere central for use by all your projects.
Drag and drop the font(s) onto the upload modal, or select them from your computer, to add the font(s) to your Overleaf project. Use one of the fontspec package \setfont commands to configure and activate the font(s).
Changing default font typeface The font can also be changed for a specific element in the document. The command \fontfamily{qcr}\selectfont will set the TeX gyre cursor font typeface, whose fontcode is qcr , for the text inside the braces. Modifying the text fonts Create a new document containing the following code: \documentclass{article} \begin{document} Text can be \emph{emphasized}. Besides from \textit{italics}, words can be \textbf{bold}, \textsl{slanted}, or typeset in \textsc {Small Caps}. Click Typeset and have a look at the output:
