Another way to do it: open Text tab (its located on the bottom of editor) Choose Edit as Table in context menu. Check First row is header in dialog and press OK.
Follow these steps: Select the column of names that you want to separate. Click on the Data tab in the ribbon. Click on Text to Columns. Choose the Delimited option. Select the delimiter that separates first and last names for instance, a space character or a comma. Click on Next.
CSV Column Names are not case-sensitive and may be arranged in any order, but the accompanying detail must be in the same order as the column names. Each item is separated by a comma. 01/01/1999,AAA,0100,00001,Y,5.0,Meeting with Client. 01/01/1999,BBB,0100,00001,Y,0.5,Telephone conference.
Column names must contain only A to Z, 0 to 9, and underscore () characters. Column names can contain multiple underscores. The column name must not be very generic. Avoid words such as term, multiplier, description, name, code, and so on.
Rules for CSV file naming The file name must begin with a table or group reference, followed by a start time, and end in . CSV. The start time in the file name must be at or before the first time stamp in the file. The end time is optional and can be at or after the last time stamp in the file.
Here are the rules for creating CSV files: Separate data fields with a delimiter, usually a comma. Keep each record on a separate line. Do not follow the last record in a file with a carriage return. In the first line of the file, include a header with a list of the column names in the file.
Choose a filename (if youre going to export to excel, rename the file extension to .csv) Choose Plain Text for the Format. In the contents field, enter the headers you want to use. They need to be separated by a comma and a space. Make sure you hit enter after the last character in the line.
