The difference is: The call() method takes arguments separately. The apply() method takes arguments as an array. The apply() method is very handy if you want to use an array instead of an argument list.
Call and apply execute the function immediately with a given this value and arguments as comma-separated values or an array, respectively. Bind returns a new function with a given this value and arguments that can be invoked later.
The bind() method of Function instances creates a new function that, when called, calls this function with its this keyword set to the provided value, and a given sequence of arguments preceding any provided when the new function is called.
Security. BIND supports a number of different methods to protect the updating and transfer of zones, on both master and slave nameservers: DNSSEC Short for DNS SECurity, this feature allows for zones to be cryptographically signed with a zone key.
call : Accepts arguments individually as a comma-separated list. apply : Accepts arguments as an array or array-like object. bind : Can preset arguments when creating the new function, but additional arguments can be passed when the new function is invoked.
Function.prototype.bind() The bind() method of Function instances creates a new function that, when called, calls this function with its this keyword set to the provided value, and a given sequence of arguments preceding any provided when the new function is called.
The only difference between call and apply is that call requires the arguments to be passed in one-by-one, and apply takes the arguments as an array. In this example, well create an object, and create a function that references this but has no this context.
(1) To link, join, connect or associate one element with another as in the following examples. (2) To link subroutines in a program.
