okay so last time we talked about edge detection right so purely the question of how do we find pixels in the image that correspond to edges and those could have been like you know we could have designed generalized detectors like the laplacian that respond to whatever edges there are an image or we could have used detectors like so bullet vectors which are sensitive either horizontal or vertical edges we could even use bigger edge of ASPs to help us detect edges in diagonal directions for example but Iamp;#39;ll talk about today is a little bit more like how do we put these edges that weamp;#39;ve detected together into more useful constructs right so at the very end of the last lecture we talked about the canny edge detector which had this nice property that it seemed to do a pretty good job of outlining you know objects if we tuned those high and low thresholds corrected right so kind of one question is how do we use those you know close curves that we can see in the image how do
