a week ago a friend of mine asked me this why does my x-ray disappear when i bind i told him to let me inspect his drawing and and after binding the xref yes it disappeared wanna know how we fixed it i started with the easiest solution and because of this i opened the inserted xref to check that it wasnamp;#39;t an infected drawing so after purchasing my friendamp;#39;s autocad drawing evaluated the integrity of the drawing and correct some errors using the audit command and trying to bind his extrove again jim and i realized that the corrupted drawing was not the reason for the binding xref not working and because of this i regenerated the drawing to bring back the disappeared x-ray and i was about to try my second solution but before doing anything i decided to inspect even deeply the extra problem by binding the xref and pressing f2 and because of this we saw what was causing the problem jim this is a proxy object problem i said well what what the hell is that youamp;#39;re reply

Click Home tab Layers panel Layer Properties. In the Layer Properties Manager, select the layers you want to merge into another layer and right-click Merge Selected Layers To. Press Ctrl+click to select more than one layer.
Open the external reference file which directly references the xrefs in question. To detach the xref, do it there, save the file, then reload the xref in the original drawing. The xref will be gone from the list. To bind the content, bind it in the file which directly references it.
Bind converts the objects in the xref into a block reference. Named object definitions are added to the current drawing with a prefix of blockname $n$, where n is a number starting at 0. Insert also converts the objects in the xref into a block reference.
Solution: Go to Application menu Print Batch Plot. Set Publish to: to a desired output (for example, PDF or Plotter named in page setup). Click Add Sheets to add drawings, or Remove Sheets to delete selected drawings. Set any necessary options ingly. Click Publish.
Follow these steps: Enter XATTACH on the command line. Choose the reference files to be merged. Enter XREF on the command line. Hold down the Ctrl key and select multiple files in the current drawing. Right-click and select the context menu command Bind In the dialog, choose Bind to bind the references.
Lets begin by joining a few arcs. Draw a few arcs and assign different values to their properties like color and linetype as shown. Click Home tab Modify panel (expanded) Join. Select the source object. Select the objects to join. When you are done selecting objects, press Enter.
