To Bind an Xref to the Current Drawing Click Insert tab Reference panel Dialog box launcher. Find. In the External References palette, select the reference name that you want to bind. Right-click, and click Bind. In the Bind Xrefs dialog box, select one of the following options: Click OK to close each dialog box.
Follow these steps: Enter XATTACH on the command line. Choose the reference files to be merged. Enter XREF on the command line. Hold down the Ctrl key and select multiple files in the current drawing. Right-click and select the context menu command Bind In the dialog, choose Bind to bind the references.
Attach an Xref Click Insert tab Reference panel Attach. Find. In the Select Reference File dialog box, select one or more files you want to attach and then click Open. In the Attach External Reference dialog box, under Reference Type, select Attachment. Specify the insertion point, scale, and rotation angle. Click OK.
To bind multiple Xrefs, do the following: Enter -XR at the command line. Enter B for Bind. Enter either: The name of the Xref to bind; The names of the Xrefs to bind, separated by a comma (,); An asterisk (*) to bind all Xrefs. Confirm with Enter.
In the Toolspace, on the Toolbox tab, expand Miscellaneous Utilities SHP Import/Export Utilities Geometry and Breakline Tools. Double-click XRef Copy Civil 3D Objects. Select the objects contained in an Xref or block that you want to copy into the destination drawing.
Known causes include are listed below: XREF is unloaded, orphaned, or is otherwise missing. XREF is part of a circular reference. XREF is attached more than once. XREF has been edited in 3rd party software. File corruption. Proxy elements. Problem with the user profile in Windows.
To specify a single page setup for multiple drawings or layouts In the Publish dialog, select all (CTRL+A) the model and/or layout sheets in the publish list. (Or use CTRL+click to select only certain sheets.) Click the Page Setup drop-down arrow for the first sheet in the list and choose the desired named page setup.
Xref bind offers two options: Bind and Insert. Bind adds the xrefs filename as a prefix and also adds some characters to the layer names. The Insert option merges layers of the same name and does not add additonal characters to the layer name.
