From the Windows desktop, open the Start menu, select Windows Administrative Tools DNS. In the console tree, expand a DNS server then right-click, then select New Zone. On the New Zone Wizard page, select Next. On the Zone Type page, select Primary zone and ensure Store the zone in Active Directory is selected.
If you have multiple domains to verify, you will need to add a text record for each domain. Step 1: Log in to your DNS Management Interface. Step 2: Find the DNS Records Section. Step 3: Add a New TXT Record. Step 4: Save or Publish Changes. Step 5: Verify the TXT Record.
A typical TXT record looks like the following in standard BIND format: $ORIGIN example.com. ; designates the start of this zone file in the namespace @ 3600 IN TXT You can put any text ; A TXT record for example.com. @ 3600 IN TXT v=spf1 a:mail.example.com -all ; An SPF record for example.com. mail.
How to Create a TXT Record Navigate to Managed DNS. Once signed into the DNS Made Easy Control Panel, select Managed DNS from the DNS dropdown menu at the top of the screen. Select the domain for the TXT record. Select the domain for which you will be adding the TXT record. Add a TXT record. Enter the TXT record values.
Do not end a file or directory name with a space or a period. Although the underlying file system may support such names, the Windows shell and user interface does not. However, it is acceptable to specify a period as the first character of a name. For example, .
TXT records are a type of Domain Name System (DNS) record in text format, which contain information about your domain. TXT records also have information that helps external network servers and services handle outgoing email from your domain.
Step by step create a TXT record inside the zone file: Login to your DNS server as administrator. Launch the DNS Management Console. On DNS Manager window, expand your DNS name. Right click on your domain name and select Other New Records to add a new TXT record.
