To make it easier to navigate your document, Pages generates an automatically updating table of contents (TOC) that appears in the sidebar on the left side of the Pages window.
The table of contents needs to be customized to enable linking: Right click on the table of contents. Select Edit Field from the context menu. Check the boxes for Right align page numbers and Use hyperlinks instead of page numbers Click OK
Place the insertion point where you want the table of contents to appear, then do one of the following: Add a TOC for the whole document: Click the Insert Table of Contents button at the bottom of the Table of Contents sidebar. Add a TOC for this section: Choose Insert Table of Contents Section.
Put your cursor where you want to add the table of contents. Go to References Table of Contents. and choose an automatic style. If you make changes to your document that affect the table of contents, update the table of contents by right-clicking the table of contents and choosing Update Field.
Add a link Control-click an object, text box, or selected text you want to turn into a link, choose Add Link, then choose a destination (Webpage, Email, Phone Number, Page, or Bookmark).
Linking to other Web Pages. Linking in HTML code is done with the anchor tag, the tag. The letter A in the tag is then followed by an attribute. For a link to another web page, the A is followed by HREF.
