The operational functionality of BIND 9 is defined using the file named. conf, which is typically located in /etc or /usr/local/etc/namedb, depending on the operating system or distribution.
In many places, OCaml makes a distinction between capitalized identifiers and identifiers that begin with a lowercase letter. The underscore character is considered a lowercase letter for this purpose.
Comments in YAML are denoted by the # symbol and are ignored by the interpreter when the code is executed. We add the symbol at the position we want the comment to start.
BIND Configuration File Guide--Comment Syntax C-style comments start with the two characters /* (slash, star) and end with */ (star, slash). Because they are completely delimited with these characters, they can be used to comment only a portion of a line or to span multiple lines.
BIND 9 uses a single configuration file called named. conf. which is typically located in either /etc/namedb or /usr/local/etc/namedb. If rndc is being used locally (on the same host as BIND 9) then an additional file rndc.
In JavaScript, a single line comment can be added by using two forward slashes // .
Comments. Comments are introduced by the two characters (*, with no intervening blanks, and terminated by the characters *), with no intervening blanks. Comments are treated as blank characters. Comments do not occur inside string or character literals. Nested comments are handled correctly.
To create a single-line comment in a Bash script, begin the comment with a hash (#) symbol. Bash ignores everything after the hash, so even if you include code snippets in comments, they wont be executed.
