The operational functionality of BIND 9 is defined using the file named. conf, which is typically located in /etc or /usr/local/etc/namedb, depending on the operating system or distribution.
Comments can be inserted anywhere that whitespace may appear in a BIND configuration file. C-style comments start with the two characters /* (slash, star) and end with */ (star, slash).
A comment starts with a semicolon (;) and continues to the end of the line. You can add a comment to any directive or record. DNS ignores everything you write after a semicolon till the next line. If you put a semicolon at the beginning of a line, DNS ignores the entire line.
Note: Code::Blocks will create a default. conf file that usually is placed into: C:\Documents and Settings\[yourusername]\Application Data\codeblocks (or %APPDATA%) on Windows or your usual home folder (~/) under Linux.
config file location. In order to set up the ASP.NET Core Module correctly, the web. config file must be present at the content root path (typically the app base path) of the deployed app. This is the same location as the website physical path provided to IIS.
To add a comment, just click on the Edit action of the respective DNS record and fill out the Comment field. Once you hit Save, a small icon will appear next to the record name to remind you that this record has a comment.
The main configuration file for named is /etc/named. conf , which contains settings for named and the top-level definitions for zones, for example: include /etc/rndc. key; controls { inet 127.0.
conf file establishes the server as a master, slave, or cache-only name server. It also specifies the zones over which the server has authority and which data files it should read to get its initial data.
