when you want all the work of making a quilt and you pour yourself into all the little decisions that go with it along the way sometimes when you near the end itamp;#39;s a temptation to just finish quickly and be done with it but a beautifully executed binding is a really nice way to finish off your quilt with a flourish a binding application is not a difficult thing to learn but there are a few little tips and tricks that will help you to be successful and help your binding to look as beautiful as the rest of your quilt so letamp;#39;s begin with this little quilt this is if you had finished quilting your project and you were already to trim it so that you could apply the binding you want to use a rotary mat you want to use a good ruler and the longer the ruler is the better usually and youamp;#39;re just going to square up the quilt usually the lines of piecing will help you line up you can line those up with the lines on the ruler and so you just want to sort of give it a good l

How do I bind a document at home? Use a comb binding machine. Comb binding is popular for a reason it is inexpensive and easy. Use screw posts. If you dont want to get a binding machine, screw posts are a great second option. Use a thermal binding machine. Use three-ring binders.
Thermal Binding Once the document has been printed, the pages are stacked on top of one another and a strip of glue is applied to the spine. A fabric strip is then applied onto the glue and the whole document is then inserted into a special machine that melts the glue and allows the pages to bind together.
If you are attaching the bias binding in the round, overlap the ends by about 1 on each end. Mark where the two pieces overlap and measure 1/2 seam allowance. Mark with tailors chalk and trim the excess. Sew the seam and trim the seam allowance in half.
Step 1: Lay out your binding then sew it around the perimeter of your quilt. Step 2: Fold the ends together, leaving no space between them. Step 3: Use a pin to connect the two ends. Step 4: Pin the strips together and sew on the vertical crease. Step 5: Finish sewing the binding to the edge of the quilt.
Stapled binding is one of the simplest, fastest and cheapest types of binding. It involves printing sheets on both sides, placing them on top of one another, adding a cover, and inserting two staples in the fold.

Here we go. 1) Open out the ends of the binding. 2) Fold each end to form a 45 degree angle. 3) Crease the folds where they meet. 4) Open the two creased folds. 5) With right sides facing, match the fold lines to each other. 6) Stitch the fold lines, creating a diagonal seam. 7) Trim the seam allowances.
