Combine shapes to create a new shape Hold down the Shift key while you click two or more shapes that are touching or overlapping. In the Format sidebar, click the Arrange tab. Click an arrangement button at the bottom of the sidebar: Unite: Combines the selected shapes into a single shape.
Draw a circle or ellipse shape In the canvas toolbar in Motion, click and hold the shape tools pop-up menu, then choose Circle (or press C). Drag in the canvas until the resulting ellipse is the size you want, then release the mouse button. After you create the shape, press Esc to activate the Select/Transform tool.
Select two or more objects on a page that you want to group together. Click Arrange at the top of the Format sidebar on the right, then click the Group button. Note: If the Group button is dimmed or doesnt appear, the selected objects cant be grouped.
