so i got this handy dandy makita circular saw pretty new and wondering why when i put it on a guide it just starts to smoke bind up doesnamp;#39;t want to cut straight i saw the uh cut started wandering too so i must have dropped this thing and not known it because right here this piece was visibly bent so this secures the base plate to the upper portion of the saw along with this other piece right here if we can see that little u-shaped piece so anyways hereamp;#39;s a little bit of a side view so that just to raise and lower the saw depending on the depth of the cut so that thing was bent pretty good by wow i mean it was almost a it was good 3 8 out of whack or at maybe a quarter inch anyway so did took it over to the vice did some bending tweaking and now weamp;#39;re cutting straight as an air again so i read a bunch of people talking about dull blades all this other stuff i had none of that i cleaned my blades all the time i sharpened my blades so that had nothing to do with it
