itamp;#39;s easy to add text to a point using the QI macros simply click on a point and that will highlight the entire data series then click on that point again to select just the single point weamp;#39;re going to come over here to the QI macros chart menu click on add text to point and Iamp;#39;m going to just type special cause and itamp;#39;ll add that text to that data point and that will stay with the chart as long as it exists

In the formula bar, type an equal sign (=). In the worksheet, select the cell that contains the data that you want to display in the title, label, or text box on the chart. Press ENTER.
On a chart, click the chart or axis title that you want to link to a corresponding worksheet cell. On the worksheet, click in the formula bar, and then type an equal sign (=). Select the worksheet cell that contains the data or text that you want to display in your chart. Press ENTER.
Click anywhere in the data for which you want to create a chart. To plot specific data into a chart, you can also select the data. Select Insert Charts and the chart type you want. On the menu that opens, select the option you want.

With the data selected, go to Insert Line. Click on the icon, and a dropdown menu will appear to select the type of line chart you want. For this example, well choose the fourth 2-D line graph (Line with Markers). Excel will add your line graph representing your selected data series.
