To zip a file containing Chinese characters on a Windows desktop, you can use a compression tool that supports Unicode, such as 7-Zip or WinRAR. 1. The display language you select changes the default language used by Windows features like Settings and File Explorer.
Right-click on the file or folder. Select Compressed (zipped) folder. To place multiple files into a zip folder, select all of the files while hitting the Ctrl button. Then, right-click on one of the files, move your cursor over the Send to option and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
The ZIP file standard historically did not specify a metadata encoding, but strongly recommended CP437 (the original IBM PC encoding) for interoperability. Recent versions allow use of UTF-8 (only). In this module, UTF-8 will automatically be used to write the member names if they contain any non-ASCII characters.
Windows: How to Zip (Compress) Multiple Files Use Windows Explorer or My Computer (File Explorer on Windows 10) to locate the files you wish to zip. Hold down [Ctrl] on your keyboard Click on each file you wish to combine into a zipped file. Right-click and select Send To Choose Compressed (Zipped) Folder.
Google Drive: Once your Zip file is uploaded to Google Drive, right-click or click on the chain link and select Get Link. Then, be sure to change to Anyone with the Link and click Copy Link. Once you click Copy Link, you should see a notification that the Link is Copied.

zip file using cut/copy and paste or dragging and dropping, just as you would with an ordinary file or folder. If you want to extract all the files in a . zip file, right click on the zip file and choose Extract All. This will open a wizard to guide you through the next steps.
