hello everyone how are you doing this is md tech here with another quick tutorial in todayamp;#39;s tutorial iamp;#39;m going to show you guys how to insert a symbol or a special character in microsoft word so this should hopefully be a pretty straightforward process here guys and without further ado letamp;#39;s go ahead and jump right into it so all you need to do is select the insert tab go over the far right side and select versus symbol go ahead and left-click on that so there may be a symbol that just immediately jumps out of you here that youamp;#39;re looking for if not you can select more symbols and you can go ahead and search through the various symbols that are included in a microsoft office here and locate the symbol youamp;#39;re looking for and pretty straightforward process on that guys once youamp;#39;ve found the symbol youamp;#39;re looking for it you can just go ahead and select it and then select insert and thatamp;#39;s pretty much all you need to

To insert an icon, click the Insert tab and then select Icons. The Insert Icons menu will appear. You can scroll through a wide range of subjects, including people, technology, commerce, the arts, and more. Once you find an icon you like, select it and then click Insert.
Use the right-hand Alt key in combination with the appropriate letter to get one of the more common combinations (for example, Alt+e will result in: ). Press the symbol you want to use and then the letter you want to use it with (for example, if you first press the ~ symbol and then the n key, youll get: ).
Click or tap where you want to insert the special character. Go to Insert Symbol More Symbols. Go to Special Characters. Double-click the character that you want to insert.
Many of the common symbols, like @, #, or , can be found on your keyboard. They are usually found on keys 0-9 at the top of your keyboard, and pressing Shift at the same time as the number will usually insert the symbol instead. For example, to enter @, press Shift + 2 at the same time.
Searching for Special Characters Press Ctrl+F. Word displays the Find tab of the Find and Replace dialog box. Click the More button, if it is available. (See Figure 1.) In the Find What box, enter the text for which you want to search. Set other searching parameters, as desired. Click on Find Next.
Youll find it under the Insert menu, which is on the ribbon at the top of the screen. Click on Symbol and choose More Symbols. Change the font to Wingdings in the Font select box. Scroll to the bottom, and youll find two different styles of ticks and crosses.
