The table is opened in Design view. Click the cell in the Field Name column for the field whose Caption property you want to set. In the bottom section, under Field Properties, on the General tab, click Caption. Type a new caption for the field.
Click the picture you want to add a caption to. Click References Insert Caption. To use the default label (Figure), type your caption in the Caption box.
To insert a caption in Word, you need to select your image or chart, and then go to the References tab on the ribbon. Click on Insert Caption, and a dialog box will appear. There, you can choose the label, the position, the number format, and the text of your caption.
