hi everyone iamp;#39;m sarah with beyond fabric and we are going to show you a quick video on how to do binding for your quilt so first thing you need to do is cut your strips of fabric to bind your quilt and in order to figure out how much you need you need to calculate all the way around your quilt or the item that youamp;#39;re going to be binding weamp;#39;re going to show you with the placemats weamp;#39;re going to bind this placemat that is 12 by 18 so we need to add up all our sides and then add at least 10 inches to it so we have enough wiggle room to be able to overlap at the end so a minimum of 10 inches needs to be added after youamp;#39;ve added up all your sides once you have that measurement thatamp;#39;s how long your binding needs to be and more than likely unless you have really super long fabric youamp;#39;re going to have to piece your strips so we have cut our strips out and they are two and a half inches and weamp;#39;re going to show you how to put them t
