to get started I just added a background video along with some text to my timeline that Iamp;#39;d like to add a background to letamp;#39;s begin by selecting our text clip then hold down the shift key on your keyboard while pressing the up and down arrow keys to position the time head at the start of your text clip with your text clip still selected go up to graphics new layer rectangle position your rectangle over the text clip and drag its edge to expand it then go over to effect controls for your text clip collapse all the different settings drag your shape layer above your text layer to set it behind your text then uncollapse the shape settings click the color next to fill to change your rectangles color under transform reduce the opacity to make it translucent okay and there we have a nice looking background for our text now this method works well but Iamp;#39;m going to show you another way to do it by deleting the shapes layer hold down the shift key and use the arro

The correct answer is Shading. For the color background of the text in a document, select the text and choose a color as per requirement.
Change the background color: With your text still selected, expand to the Shading button from the home ribbon. Click on the More colors button (From home: Alt, H, H, M).
