hello everyone welcome back to talented developer in this video we are going to create spring boot L app authentication project from the scratch so what are the step we are going to follow weamp;#39;ll be building a spring boot application from the scratch using the Spring Security then weamp;#39;ll create aab server from the scratch then weamp;#39;ll try to add a user with the credential then weamp;#39;ll write our ldap authentication code in a spring boot application and weamp;#39;ll try to test our user login if everything works fine then weamp;#39;ll try to see what are the error and exception you might face during your ldap authentication and the last step will be like shortcut so using that one you can put your some of the ldap configuration code directly to the property file and you can reduce your code so first of all we have to create one spring boot application so what you can do so just open your web browser and search a spring initializer you can open this one here yo

Bind operations are used to authenticate clients (and the users or applications behind them) to the directory server, to establish an authorization identity that will be used for subsequent operations processed on that connection, and to specify the LDAP protocol version that the client will use.
The ldapsaslbind() or ldapsaslbinds() routine binds to the LDAP server identified by the LDAP handle. The LDAP server authenticates the client using the specified Simple Authentication and Security Layer (SASL) mechanism.
Simple bind authentication is the most common way to authenticate LDAP clients. In a simple bind, the client either binds anonymously, that is, with an empty bind DN, or by providing a DN and a password. Directory Proxy Server binds to a data source to validate the credentials and to authenticate the client.
Binding is the step where the LDAP server authenticates the client and, if the client is successfully authenticated, allows the client access to the LDAP server based on that clients privileges. Rebinding is simply doing the process over to authenticate the client.
XML Authentication Configuration The XML File containing user credentials and group mappings. The group mappings are used in the Authorization by role in the Basic Authentication policy resource.
A simple LDAP bind, in which credentials are transferred over the network in cleartext, which isnt secure. An unsigned Simple Authentication and Security Layer (SASL) LDAP bind, which does not require signing and is unsecure. A signed SASL LDAP bind, which requires signing and is secure.
SASL authentication consists of the client and the server exchanging SASL messages embedded inside LDAP bind requests and responses. The bind request contains a name field, which is the DN of the directory object that the client wishes to authenticate as.
There are three bind types: simple, anonymous, and regular. Simple bind. Simple bind means binding with a clients full name. Anonymous bind. Anonymous bind should be used only if the LDAP server allows it. Regular bind. Regular bind can be used when anonymous binding is not allowed on the LDAP server.
